The tale I have chosen is the basis for the Disney cartoon we all know and love 'the beauty and the beast'. This version for the tale is very magical and optimistic. it is made with the target audience of children. And the over all theme of the story is that love will conquer all and beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I think in order to make the tale more exciting and original it could be interesting in putting this tale into something completely different. One idea is that I could turn the story into a soap or drama. use the cheating and manipulating that the evil princess uses on the lion prince as a story of be-trail and focus more on this sort of idea.

My other idea was horror / scifi.  I think this could be cool to show how dark and esentric the castle could be. all dark lights and Gothic exterior, and the lion prince could be a monster such as Frankenstein.
